迩来，有同学问了这样一道题“Describe a person you know who is from a different culture”。因为我来自一个恰当小的城市，我没有机缘结识许多来自不一样国家或文明的人，但我很高兴知道了来自德国柏林的菲利克斯。他20多岁，是咱们小镇上为数不多的外国人之一。我俩究竟是如何知道的，咱们一同来聊一聊吧！

我非常尊敬菲利克斯，因为他真的尽力让自个融入当地文明。除此之外，知道他今后真的让我大开视野，协助我消除一些负面的文明成见。

As I come from a pretty small town, I haven’t had the opportunity to meet many people from different countries or cultures, but I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Felix, a German teacher from Berlin.

Felix had moved to my town about 2 yearspriorin order to work as a German tutor in the local high school. He was in his mid-twenties, and being one of the few foreigners here, has become a kind of local celebrity.

The first time I met Felix was at a language exchange meeting, which was held at one of the local coffee shops in town. I saw it advertised, and decided to go along, as I really needed tobrush upon my German speaking skills. I remember, I was the first to arrive, and introduced myself to Felix, andwas immediately taken abackwhen he started to introduce himself in the local dialect

We got chatting, andhit if offfrom the start, getting along like a house on fire. Not only did it turn out that we were both football fanatics, but also shared the same taste in music.

We have since become the best of friends, and hang out at least once or twice a week. I really love chatting to him, and getting to learn all about German culture, as well as sharing different aspects of my own culture with him. I have great respect for Felix, as he

has really made an effort to immerse himself into the local culture. On top of that, getting to know him has been a real eye opener, and helped to dispel any negative cultural stereotypes.
