对于非英语专业的考生，“徒手”去翻译一些只适合英语专业的人士处理的书面语很重的汉语材料，如各楼堂馆所的正式“解说词”，或“介绍”，本来就已经是“除了死记硬背无数个译文模板别无它法”。但是，就翻译本身而言，汉译英也好，英译汉也罢，其真正的难处，都不在于你“英语表达”时能够说对，或者用对了所谓“标准答案”（如果有标准答案的话)里面那个要“考”你的词，也就是说你的英语表达“变成”了一个“单选题”。这样的“单选题”，“再懒”的考生临时抱佛脚背背答案还是可以应付。
汉英英汉翻译最大的难处在于：当你想表达一个汉语或英语意思时，你能不能做到脑子里面会不会同时出现好几个可供你选择的汉语或英语表达词汇，让“单选题”变成“多项选择题”。只有平时注意这方面的语言能力训练，考试时才能“游刃有余”。
因此，严格来讲前者“单选题”的翻译，还只是依然停留在一种语法层面的语言能力，也就是只能解决用词“对错”问题，甚至“忘词”时只能拿零分。
而后者则是体现出了一个人语言修辞能力，也就说你有好几个词句供你选择，并让你有“用哪一个更好，或好和坏”的考量。语法只是解决语言表达对错问题的。修辞才是解决用词好还得更好的问题（但是，又有别于“用哪个更准确”情况。它依然还是属于“对错”范畴)。所以我们如果具备了修辞表达的能力，我们在表达用英语或汉语的某个意思的时候， 我们就会做到“不会这个，我用另外一个”的语言能力。
想不靠死记答案过关，这也正是我们学习英语需要训练的地方。

点评：
1、“加词”：如果能“吃透”“创建了第一个农村革命根据地”原话，在“创建”前加词successfully，虽然后面的句子结构比较简单，但是，段落也会因为“加词”出彩加分。
