这个表达在日常生活中适
用范围也非常广泛，比如：

露丝如释重负，感到晕乎乎的。
Wewere dizzy withexcitement.
我们兴奋得头晕目眩。
3. to wit
wit 做名词表示“机智风趣”，但to wit 却和此义毫无关系。
to wit 即，就是

= that is to say

beyond 无法…〔表示某事不能做成〕

无法修理/控制/相信等
beyond 这个单词可以是介词，也可以是副词。它的含义可以是正面的，也可以是反面的。
1. 正面的意义，指的是“超出某一范围但并不脱离或否定这个范围”，也就是“既保持原有的，还外加”。
The plan was beyond ingenious.
此计妙极。
He wasbeyond exhausted.
他已经过度筋疲力尽了。
2. 反面的意义，指的是“超出某一范围，不再属于这个范围”。
Speech seemed beyond her.
她似乎说不出话来了。
Love is beyond 
all human control.
爱情是人类毫无办法控制的。
6. come by
come by 弄到某物，获得某物〔指稀有或不容易得到的东西〕
Jobs were hard to come by.
工作难找啊。
这个词链儿可以整体记下来：
XX is rare and hard to come by
7. but
but 在这里是副词，相当于only表示：只有；仅仅
If it were butthat simple.
如果是那么容易就好了。
8. type of thing
XX type/sort/kind of thing XX之类的
It was really fun if you like the outdoors type of thing.
如果你喜欢户外运动什么的，会很有意思。
I need to buy paper and pencils, that kind of thing.
