China's Ministry of Education has issued student codes to allelementary andmiddle-school students across China and putthem into the education registrationsystem, after a trial run fora year.
经过为期1年的试运行，近日，教育部向全国中小学生发放了学籍号，并将它们录入到教育注册系统中。
教育部介绍，在完成首次信息采集(information collection)后，为确保以学生身份基本信息(basicinformation)为核心的数据准确，利用公安部人口信息管理系统及国家人口基础信息库对学生数据进行核查对比，对准确无误的，核发全国唯一的正式学籍号(studentcode)。
"学生转学(move to a newschool)时，各环节均在网上进行，家长只需向转入学校提出申请即可，无需再因往返奔波耽误正常工作。"教育部透露，目前，最快转学只要9小时即完成(completea school transfer in as little as
9hours)，且记录在不断刷新，并将成为普遍趋势，大大减少了学生转学其家庭所需的时间和经济开支(save time and economiccost)。
The eventual release of student codes means the system has entered a newphase for application.It will play an important role in student's enrollment,school roll registration and graduation.
学生正式学籍号的发放，标志着该系统进入新的应用阶段，将在中小学招生入学、学籍注册和毕业等方面发挥重要作用。
The Ministry of Education hopes the new system could receive more publicattention and jointefforts are needed to ensure the smooth and soundapplication.
教育部希望广大民众能更加关注新系统，只有双方共同努力才能保证申请工作顺利进行。
