在雅思口语Part 2里面，烤鸭们最怕的就是有关art的话题，事件类题目没经历过的可以意淫，但是描述艺术品，真是考验我们的想象力和看图说话能力…… Part 1出现art话题还能简单应付一下，Part 2的两分钟可真是难熬。所以，准备几段艺术品的描述是特别必要的，它们可以是真实存在的，也可以是为了考试服务随便编造的，再来点儿这件艺术品背后的故事，无论是购买人的故事还是创造者的故事都OK，时间可能就满了。

campus, which really left a deep impression on me. It’s a girl with short hair who’s holding a book in her hands, looking up to the sky. And this sculpture is made of pure white marble, and it’s impeccably/perfectly carved, down to the very last detail. For example, we can clearly see her facial expression, which shows her thirst for knowledge. This sculpture is standing in front of our main teaching building, so every day I can walk past it when I’m on my way to school.

Our teacher told us that this sculpture is donated by a famous alumnus who’s now the CEO of a big company, but to be honest I couldn’t remember exactly what the company is. Anyway, his purpose is to encourage the students in our school to have big dreams and keep working hard for them. I think this sculpture also shows the spirit of our school, which is never give up, always dream high, and devote yourself to the things you love.

Every time I see this sculpture, I just feel so inspired and motivated, that’s why I like it.

life-size = life-sized = the same size as a person or thing really is

thirst for something = a strong desire for something = craving for something

例如，a craving for chocolate

alumnus = a former male student of a school, college or university 复数形式是alumni.

alumna = a former woman student of a school, college or university 复数形式是alumnae.

devote yourself to somebody / something = to give most of your time, energy, attention, etc. to somebody/ something. 例如：
