①buy meat（买肉）

A：I heard that the price of meat had gone up again.（我传闻肉又涨价了。）

B：Really? I'm planning on buying some meat for a barbeque.（真的吗？我正方案买些肉做烧烤呢。）

（注解：barbeque n.烧烤 v.烤肉，用调料烤肉，也可写作barbecue，缩写BBQ；go up 上升，增加； plan on doing sth 方案/方案做某事）

②sell meat（卖肉）

A：What does he do for a living?（他是干啥的？/他以啥为生？）

B：He sells meat in a supermarket.（他在一家超市里卖肉。）

③take meat out of the freezer（从（冰箱的）冷冻室里拿肉）

A：Could you help me take some meat out of the freezer?（你能帮我从（冰箱的）冷冻室里拿些肉出来吗？）

B：Yes, of course.（行，当然可以。）

（注解：freezer n. （冰箱的）冷冻室，冰柜；take out 拿出，取出；help sb do sth 协助或人做某事；freezer只是“冰箱”的一有些，“冰箱”的全称是refrigerator，其简写方法是fridge。）

④defrost meat in the microwave oven（用微波炉给肉冻结）

A：I need this meat for supper tonight but I forgot to take it out from thefreezer earlier.（今晚我要用这块肉做晚餐，可是我忘了早一点儿把它从（冰箱的）冷冻室里拿出来了。）

B：That's OK. We can defrost the meat in the micro-wave oven.（没联络。咱们可以用微波炉给肉冻结。）

（注解：defrost v.冻结，除霜；microwave n.微波炉；微波 v.用微波炉烹调（或加热）；oven n.烤箱，烤炉）

⑤slice meat（把肉切成片）

A：How can I help you, honey?（亲爱的，我能帮你做点儿啥？）

B：Slice the meat over there.（把那儿的肉切成片吧。）

⑥shred meat（把肉切成丝）

A：What is this food processor for?（这台食物加工机是用来做啥的？）

B： It can shred the meat.（它能把肉切成丝。）

（注解：processor n.处置机，处置器；加工业者；shred v．把……切成丝；撕碎 n．细条；碎片；破片，那么假定想表达“把肉切成丁”，可以说dice meat，）

⑦stir-fry shredded meat

A：I want to learn how to stir-fry shredded meat.（我想学怎样炒肉丝。）

B：Maybe I can teach you.（或许我可以教教你。）

（注解：stir-fry v.翻炒，用旺火炒，用旺火煸）

⑧grill meat（烤肉）

A：What are you going to do next?（接下来你要做啥？）

B：I'm going to grill some meat.（我要烤些肉。）

（注解：grill 在烤架、烤炉上）烧烤，烤 n．烤肉；烤架）

⑨stew meat（炖肉）

A：Do you know how to stew meat?（你晓得怎么炖肉吗？）

B：Yes, meat can be stewed in many ways. Today I will stew some withlotus root.（晓得啊，肉有多种炖法。今日我用藕来炖肉。）

（注解：stew v．炖，焖 n．炖肉，炖菜；lotus n．莲，莲花；lotus root藕，莲藕）

⑩like eating fatty meat（爱吃肥肉）

A：The doctor advised you to stay away from fatty food.（医生主张你远离含脂肪多的食物。）

B：But I really like eating fatty meat.（可是我真的很爱吃肥肉。）

（注解：stay away from 远离……，不接近……）

only eat lean meat（只吃瘦肉 ）

A：They only eat lean meat.（他们只吃瘦肉。）

B：Lean meat is certainly healthier.（瘦肉当然更安康。）
