"新东方杯"作业主题大学生英语口语大赛是由新东方教育科技集团及旗下迅程网络科技有限公司，出路出国征询有限公司，大愚文明传达有限公司联合优酷网、人人网一起举办，关于全国大学生英语交流使用才能的一项英语竞赛。新东方教育科技集团作为我国最大的英语培训教育机构、我国第一家海外上市的教育机构，在我国英语教育和培训领域具有丰厚深沉的实习经历和作用，对我国群众青少和成人英语学习集体的学习理念、学习办法以及学习习气具有广泛深化的影响。

"New Oriental Cup" College Students Public Speaking Contest
Introduction & Mission
The New Oriental Cup College Students Public Speaking Contest is hosted by The New Oriental Education and Technology Group and aims to improve students' communication ability. As the main host of the event, New Oriental Education and Technology Group ranks as the largest English language instruction institution in China, and is the first private education group in China to be listed on the NYSE. Through December 2009, The New Oriental Education and Technology Group has enrolled over 8.5 million students and has established 47 branch schools and 6 daughter companies in 40 cities. New Oriental has a far-reaching influence on both young and adult learners throughout China, offering practical experience and changing students' learning strategies to help them achieve their goals。
To ensure the justice, fairness and openness of the contest, The New Oriental Cup College Students Public Speaking Contest applies professional American English language assessment tools in screening and selection procedures.
The contest aims to broaden college students' horizons, improving their cross-cultural communication ability and enhancing their competitiveness for future career opportunities. With" Practicality, Popularity and Creativity" as the cornerstone, the contest is dedicated to establishing a platform to encourage college students to learn English successfully by transforming learning habits, improving learning strategies, enriching educational resources, strengthening students' command of English in real situations, and discovering successful students who are good at communication, critical thinking, and who value entrepreneurship. We hope the contest will help increase job opportunities and accelerate college students' development。
Registration requirements
Contestants must be current students (including junior college students, undergraduates and postgraduates)， age 18-25, who love English and are willing to show their talents and improve their English speaking ability。

Registration method
Registration method: Participants can either register online or in person.
In-person registration
Fill out the registration form at the registration desk in one of our four locations in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Wuhan。
Online registration
Visit our official website at nsec.koolearn.com and submit your registration form online。
Contestants for in-person auditions should print a complete registration form in advance as the contest pass for each round. Contestants for online auditions need a computer with Internet access, a microphone, a web camera and props for your audition).
Procedure & Schedule
The contest is divided into four rounds as in on-line and in-person circumstances that contestants may choose for their own preference. The 4 rounds include:
1 Screening ( On-line) / Audition(in-person)
2 Selection (On-line)/ written test (in-person)，
3 Semi Final
4 National Final。
